GOLENIÓW BUS AND TRAIN STATION PUBLICE SERVICE BUILDINGS

The investment involved deconstruction of the previous bus and railway station in Goleniów (including: the station building, the residential building, culinary facilities, a pedestrian walkway above the railway tracks and pre-existing surfaces) and construction of a new bus and train station in its place. A modern building of a usable area of 517 square meters was erected in the center of the site. More than half of the building’s space is dedicated for the passengers (hall, waiting room, ticket windows, information desk, shops, café, toilets), the remaining part of the building was dedicated to the new headquarters of the Goleniów Straż Miejska (Municipal Police). The building was fitted with sanitary installations (sewage and storm water drainage systems, water supply network), telecommunications installations (CCTV, structural network, DVB-T/SAT installations and the following systems: sound, SDIP - real-time passenger information, slave clock, alarm) together with comprehensive electrical installations. The roof was fitted with photovoltaic panels. The building was connected to a large outside carport with an LED illumination system, protecting both the passengers and public transport vehicles from the elements. The outside was developed with a parking lot, a taxi stop, “kiss & ride” car spots and new sidewalks, roads and surfaces of a combined area exceeding 18,000 square meters. The surrounding green areas of a combined area of over 8,000 square meters were developed as well. The construction works were carried out in stages, without disrupting the timetables of trains or buses. During the construction, the passengers were provided with a temporary station building nearby.
