The investment involved building a new facility for the Radiometer company, intended for the production of technologically advanced medical equipment for diagnostic tests. The building with an area of 17,707 square meters houses a research and development department, a separate production and warehouse space, a distribution center with offices, as well as a cold store and a freezer, as well as a production and laboratory facilities in the ISO-7 class in compliance with ISO 14644-1 standards. Obtaining this ISO cleanliness class for medical construction required conducting a number of validation tests for Clean Room mechanical installations. The plant was constructed from prefabricated prestressed reinforced concrete, the investment also involved finishing works and fully equipping the building. The contract included sanitary infrastructure both outside (water supply, hydrant, fire, gas, sanitary and rainwater drainage systems) and inside the building (sanitary sewage system, usable warm water system, gas boiler room, compressed air installation with purification system and dryers in compliance with ISO 8573-1 standards, and several additional installations: heat recovery, mechanical ventilation, air humidification and dehumidification, chilled water, freezer room cooling and sprinklers, hydrant and INERGEN gaseous fire suppression, together with a reverse osmosis water treatment plant to supply Clean Rooms). Equipping the building with a comprehensive BMS to manage all mechanical and electrical installations was included in the contract as well. Comprehensive electrical and low-current installations were also part of the investment. Squares and roads of a total area of 10,358 square meters were developed around the plant. The investment was carried out in compliance with the FIDIC contract stipulations, and it also fully met the requirements of the FM Global company. The contract also included the preparation of building documentation, a full 3D building model and as-built documentation with comprehensive training in operation.
